I always love photographing a wedding at the Country Club of Pittsfield. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that this is where I got married, too, so I know firsthand how much a venue can become part of your family’s story. Photographing Jaclyn and Michael there on May 24, 2025, felt especially sweet.
Jaclyn and Michael are the kind of people you have fun with right away. They’re down to earth, love being outdoors, and make the most of every season from skiing in the winter, taking their pontoon out on the lake in the summer, hiking, biking, gathering around a fire with friends, or exploring new breweries. They both come from big, loving families with each of them having three siblings (so you know they are easy going and fun!). They wanted a big, fun, traditional wedding with all their favorite people there, and one thing was abundantly clear: they wanted everyone on the dance floor. No excuses.

A Spring Wedding at the Country Club
Their wedding day was overcast and chilly, with a chance for rain that luckily never did show, but looking at their photos you’d never know it. Between their big, fun wedding party, loving families, and the excitement of seeing everyone together, the day felt warm from the start.
Jaclyn and Michael shared their first look beneath a big oak tree on the golf course before their outdoor ceremony. Their bridal party and family met us there after for portraits, getting all the formal photos we needed before the ceremony even began. This is always nice for the couple, wedding party and family, especially on an unpredictable weather day.

The Sweetest Touch during their Ceremony
As Jaclyn walked down the aisle, voicemails from her grandmother who had passed away unexpectedly before the wedding, played for everyone to hear. Seeing Jaclyn’s mom cry as she heard her own mom’s voice made that moment even more moving. All their guests were taken by surprise, it was truly so special. Everyone knew how close Jaclyn was to her nonna and how heartbroken she was that she couldn’t be there. It was a personal way to include someone they missed and not something I’ve ever seen before.

A Celebration for the Whole Family
Michael’s four little nieces and nephews were the cutest flower girls and ring bearers, dressed in their tiny suits and formalwear. They brought so much personality (and a hint of much needed sass) to the family portraits, too. And I have to mention Michael’s grandparents, who were absolutely adorable, too. His grandmother brought a wand and granted Jaclyn and Michael a wish while they ate dinner at the sweetheart table.

Late Night Pizza and Ice Cream
After the ceremony came the grand entrances and traditional dances Jaclyn and Michael had looked forward to. Then the dance floor filled up, just as they’d hoped. DJ Noel Disco was incredible playing all the best music for their crowd. And Pizza Trails food truck arrived outside shortly after along with an ice cream sundae and candy bar to keep the celebration going. Everyone had a blast, just as Jaclyn and Michael had hoped.

I still keep in touch with Jaclyn today, which tells you something about how much I enjoyed getting to know these two. Their Country Club of Pittsfield wedding had the traditions they wanted, the people they love, and so many moments that felt entirely their own. I’m grateful I got to photograph it, especially in a place that means so much to me and my family.
