The Day They’ve Been Dreaming Of
Here’s the thing about Bella and Wyatt: they’re grounded and simple in the best way. They appreciate the small things in life. They’re so grateful for each other, their little one, and their families.
Their West Stockbridge private home wedding was exactly what you’d expect from the two of them: intimate, thoughtful, and full of family.
They’ve been dating for a long time, like almost ten years! So when it came time to plan a wedding, an intimate day at home felt just right. They wanted only family, tons of thoughtful details, and an emphasis on capturing candids and all the love surrounding them.

Private Home Wedding in West Stockbridge
Their wedding was set at Bella’s parents’ house, a gorgeous estate in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It has a wraparound porch, a vegetable garden, and several acres of land filled with mature trees. And about 300 bistro lights, according to her dad!
They brought in two long farmhouse tables and set them on the porch. Colorful flowers, tall candlesticks, custom place cards, and a single white rose at each plate completed the setting. It felt like the most elegant but laid-back of wedding days.

An Extra Special First Look with Their Daughter
We weren’t set on doing a first look. Ultimately, though, we decided that one with their 18-month-old daughter would be beyond special.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love a wedding or event that involves little ones or grandparents. They just make it that much more special. So we had a sweet little first look and took some photos of the three of them. Then their little one decided she had other things to tend to!

Bride and groom portraits were really important to Bella and Wyatt. We spent some time capturing them before moving on to the ceremony.

The ceremony was a true reflection of Bella and Wyatt. Simple and grounded yet overflowing with emotion and demanded everyone’s complete attention. The little ones stole the show of course as they came down the aisle. Bella was breathtaking and Wyatt handsome, their personal vows had everyone teary eyed!

Family Portraits and a Love-Filled Evening on the Porch
By the time we got to family portraits, the light on their property was ideal. It was the kind of light we photographers dream of. We took advantage of it and sprinkled in a few more couples portraits and some fun veil portraits. We even got the kiddos to play under the veil for some of my favorite shots of the day.

First dances, toasts, and a fun, flash-filled cake cutting happened on the wraparound porch. In between, everyone enjoyed dinner and drinks. It was all very casual and laid-back, effortless almost. But at every dance or toast, Bella and Wyatt had everyone’s full attention. It was so beautiful how present their families were. It’s hard to describe.

I loved being a part of this simple but magical day. From the stunning portraits to all the photos of their toddler and her cousins, there was so much to capture. I know Bella and Wyatt were over the moon with how their day went and how each moment was captured.
Private home weddings in the Berkshires are always in a league of their own. They’re always something I’m excited to be a part of.
